as one of those girlies who will never be a great dancer, and neither is the best looking of people it used to fustrate me that certain guys would ask the thin and what i saw as good looking friends of mine to dance. I'm glad I didn't give up at that point and would urge anyone else in the same position to stick with it. It's easy to lose confidence with something thats new but Steve is right, with practice and some friendly advice you can always improve. The world of salsa is full of lovely people and I've made loads of new friends since I started dancing. And when I see those shallow guys prowling choosing dancers based on image I grin to myself - it's them that just missed out :)
