My take in it is that it doesn't matter how "well" in someone elses eyes a person can dance. Provided their capability doesn't harm anyone else then it simply doesn't matter if they have limited ability relative to joe average. And if they enjoy it at their own level then great.

What I find a great shame is that some people simply don't make the same progress as joe average but they still love it never the less - unfortunately that enthusiasm soon gets stamped out because unless they are a good looking young woman they then tend to be sidelined at social dances without really ever understanding why.
