Have now spoken directly to the organisers - they have told me the gig is 100 per cent confirmed. I passed onto them the shoddy behaviour of the venue that is doing the gig no favours. It's just a pity the gig hasn't been rolled out with a huge promo drum roll to us non-Latinos.
