Totally understand where you're coming from with this. We had a straight newsflash for the gig on LSS - totally to get the word out there. Having spent 2 solid days on the phone to the venue and getting no response at all, and raising the issue here and getting the same feedback from people trying to buy tickets, we had to raise doubts. We've also sent emails to the venue - and had nothing back over the past 2 days. We've also approached some of the people who are getting the word out and had nothing back from them either. Wot's going on??
We think an EGC gig is a dead cert - but we can't stick our heads in the sand when we're getting a strange vibe. Normally, we sidestep events that the core of people we consult are worried about - we just don't list 'em.
I'm still trying to get through to the venue - we were looking to send out a newsletter for 'em, we totally get behind live gigs, hence our frustration on this on the lack of any response, positive or negative.
