Approve or not, men chat up women. Some men have one aim, others may chat to women to be friendly (not to as you say "chat them up"). Different women will perceive this in different ways.
Presumably the women are not minors & able/mature enough to handle this and if they don't like it, don't go back there.
It's a naive stance to make assumptions on all mens intentions, but then for some mysterious reason, women seem to think that they are Darren Brown when it comes to a mans mind.
I like chatting to girls at Salsa (prefer dancing though) and if they think that I am "chatting them up" they would be way off.
I see that the details have been XXXX'd out now - quite rightly too.
